Do These 4 Things Every Morning to Have a Healthy, Happy Day
Posted by Healthy Truth on Aug 6th 2019
Either you’re a morning person or you’re not, right? That’s what we’re told anyway. Whether or not you like mornings, you can still establish healthy morning habits that will set you up for an amazing day. All it takes is a dedication to habit-forming behavior, rather than waking up five minutes before you have to leave, throwing clothes on yourself in a hurry, and grabbing whatever fast food is available on the way to work.
How you start your morning will determine how your day goes. Think about it — have you ever had a great day follow a terrible, disheveled morning? The first couple hours of our day makes a huge impact on how we feel and what we do. If you do these four things every morning, you’ll see a much happier, healthier day ahead of you.
Meditate or Enjoy Some Silence
Before the day gets crazy, you deserve some time to yourself. If you want to have a smooth, clear-headed day, you should meditate for a few minutes before you leave the house. Even if that means you’re sitting in silence for five minutes, you’ll see benefits from it. Studies show that meditation on a regular basis reduces anxiety, lowers stress hormones, and even regulates hunger. So before you get glued to your phone, clear your mind and set your intentions for the day.
Move Your Body
It doesn’t have to be an hour-long session at the gym (it’s great if you have the time for that, though!). It can be a brisk walk around the block, a few sun salutations, or an impromptu dance session. When your blood gets flowing and you increase the amount of endorphines in your body, you’ll be in a better mood and you’ll find it easier to get through the day.
Eat a Clean Breakfast
Don’t skip breakfast! Your body needs the nourishment to perform well and think clearly. If you feel like you don’t have time to cook a full meal, make an easy protein smoothie. All you need is GO PRO Protein Powder Blend, almond milk, a frozen banana, and a handful of frozen berries. It offers 20 grams of protein plus tons of nutrients you need to have a fantastic day.
Use Electronics Sparingly
It’s tempting to immediately pick up our phone and scroll through Twitter or Instagram as soon as we wake up. You know this deep down, but you’d be much better off if you leave behind the social media and just have time to yourself. Instead of going scroll-crazy online, work out, meditate, or spend some quality time with your loved ones.
